I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) trauma-sensitive therapist, trained in dance and movement therapy. I am also a yoga instructor and use these modalities when appropriate in treatment.
My approach as a trauma-sensitive therapist is holistic and integrative. I utilize different therapeutic interventions, with a concentration on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Humanistic Therapy, including Gestalt and Person-Centered. I also include other modalities that are instrumental in the integrated healing process (art and body-oriented psychotherapy), depending on the client's needs. I enjoy working through an interactive approach, focusing on the mind-body connection. I also work with you to create a strong therapeutic alliance in a respectful, compassionate, and safe environment.
My practice is focused on delivering trauma and culturally informed care to anyone seeking my help. I pride myself on building a collaborative relationship with my clients and in providing holistic care to ensure they can overcome the obstacles they are facing in their lives.
