I am a Resident in Counseling who is dedicated to helping you grow your potential and live an abundant life despite life's struggles.

Life is not easy. My job as a counselor is to help you understand yourself, your environment, and your thoughts and feelings. Together, we equip you with the tools you need to thrive in this life. Difficulties and traumas are unavoidable, but through counseling we will help you live joyfully, instead of struggling through. The ultimate goal of counseling is to get you to where you no longer need our sessions.

My approach to counseling is primarily humanistic and relational. I believe that we are all trying to do our best and that we want to grow. I also believe that we are not isolated islands- we are influenced and impacted by our environments and our relationships. We are a culmination of many things, not just one- we are complex and dynamic, and thus I delve into all aspects of life. I like to use a number of different techniques, including cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness, to get you where you want to be. It’s not just about the “why”- it’s also about what we can do with that “why.”

I graduated from the University of Lynchburg with a BS in Psychology, and recently graduated from Marymount University with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
