Laurie Dutton, LPC, LCADC, ACS
Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
Struggling with what is happening in the world around us? Ready to dive deeper into yourself and just be you? I'm Laurie Dutton, owner of Be You! Counseling at the Cape, and I want to help you become more comfortable with who you are and who you want to become.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor with over 25 years of experience working as a counselor and an advocate. My approach combines solution-focused therapy with systems theory and some art self expression. I will always work with you to tailor the dialogue and treatment plan to meet your needs.
I have worked with hundreds of clients with a wide range of concerns including relationship issues, coming out (LGBTQIA), depression, anxiety, PTSD, military deployment and reintegration, & addictions. I have also helped survivors who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My therapy style is client-centered and warm and I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards becoming the person you are supposed to be! If you are ready to take that step, I am excited to join you on your journey! Please call, text or email me with any questions you may have and/or to book your first appointment.
