About me
Healing is messy, and it’s also beautiful!
You may feel stuck in a cycle that’s painful and no longer serves you, or you have a desire to look further inward. No matter the reason that brought you, I am glad you are here. It is 100% okay to ask for help, no matter what people have told you. Challenges are inevitable in life and are often a cue to action. When challenges go unresolved or unaddressed, they may get in the way of how you feel or what you think about yourself. The good news is there are many things you can learn and unlearn about yourself and the world you live in. I will support you through that healing process.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and I have been in the social work field since 2016. As a psychotherapist I specialize in working with teens, adults, and couples in areas including depression, maternal mental health, anxiety, relational problems, communication, substance use, grief, and trauma. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Maternal health and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
I like to create a space that is warm and down to earth through a person-centered approach. I recognize that there are many paths to the same destination, and I do my best to make sure we are on the path that feels right for you. People who are seeking a collaborative, creative and interactive style will find that with me. I “seek to understand than to be understood” and use that as a guiding principle in my practice.
Currently I am providing telehealth appointments during late afternoon and evening hours. I also have some limited in person evening sessions available in the front half of the week.
