About me
Lauren Park, MHR, MMFT, is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapy Candidate (LMFT-C). Working from a systemic perspective, she seeks to help individuals, couples, families and members within other relational dynamics discover ways to have positive, trusting relationships with one another.
Lauren utilizes a trauma-informed, person-centered, collaborative approach to help clients be present for themselves and others in an open and authentic way. She believes that emotional and mental health issues are best treated in the context of human relationships. Lauren places a high value on empathy, creativity and intentionality within the therapy space and seeks to help clients become more deeply connected with their own strengths as they work through life’s challenges.
Lauren is trained in Gottman Levels One and Two for couples counseling, as well as SYMBIS pre-marital preparation, EMDR and Internal Family Systems.
Prior to her work in the mental health field, Lauren spent time living and working overseas and enjoys helping TCK’s, expat families, international students, and other clients who are processing issues related to multicultural challenges.
She also enjoys supporting neurodiverse/neurodivergent teens, young adults and families with a focus on anxiety, depression and navigating a neurotypical world while being autistic and/or an ADHD’r, as well as offering related parenting and family support.
