About me
Warm, relational clinical psychologist treating trauma and attachment concerns with a somatic psychotherapy approach.
I respect where you are at in your healing journey. Whether you've already done years of therapy or are just starting out, I am here to help you take the next step of your path. I aim to help my clients feel as safe with a welcoming, non-judging atmosphere, which I feel is extremely important in difficult trauma and attachment work.
I have a collaborative relational style and also can be directive where needed. I help my clients to build awareness about their experiences - to know what is happening with their emotions and patterns so they don't feel "crazy". I provide specific coping tools, which we can practice in session together. When we build this relationship with yourself, you are able to deal with overwhelm much easier outside of session.
My clients are often dealing with:
- Past trauma affecting their current mood and/or relationships
- Difficulty feeling too close, or not close enough, to others
- Feeling overwhelmed by life or relationships
- Experiencing intense emotions or wanting to get more in touch with their emotions
My approach in session to help you with these concerns includes relational therapy; somatic processing informed by mindfulness, yoga, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy; experiential techniques, and other relaxation strategies.
