About me
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have a keen interest in and significant experience working with those who are embarking on life transitions. It would be an honor to work together to build and maintain a space that fosters curiosity, authenticity, and empathy.
Welcome! I believe foremost that our best work together can be accomplished by creating and sustaining a unique space where you can feel safe, nurtured, validated, and understood. This will be where you can be who you need and want to be; a place where you can be your most authentic self. Choosing to prioritize yourself can feel very unfamiliar and scary. It can also feel so empowering. It will be my intention to be curious and supportive, and you will be encouraged to share your thoughts and feelings openly, confident that I will neither judge nor reject you.
I have a particular interest in supporting all who are embarking on life transitions. Whether you are shifting into adulthood, wanting to make changes to your interpersonal relationships, navigating your reproductive journey, or adjusting to parenthood, you deserve time and space to explore curiously your needs and understand what may be best for you.
By fostering trust, respectfully challenging you, and encouraging vulnerability, I aim to help you understand yourself and your relationships in more sophisticated ways, realize your innate abilities, achieve enhanced understanding of your needs, and learn ways to pursue these needs. Collaboratively, we can work to help you achieve greater life satisfaction.
Currently, I am providing only telepsychology using telephone or a HIPAA-compliant video service. I look forward to resuming in-person psychotherapy in Fall 2022. I provide telepsychology services to those residing or working in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. I also have Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) under the PSYPACT Commission. I am able to provide telepsychological services to anyone residing or working in any of the PSYPACT-participating states. For an updated list of participating PSYPACT states, please visit: https://psypact.site-ym.com/page/psypactmap.
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I am not paneled with any insurance companies. Most patients receive reimbursement for out-of-network services. If you plan to use out-of-network mental health benefits, I will provide you with whatever assistance I can to help you receive the benefits to which you are entitled, including generating superbills of all services rendered for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
