My approach to working with others is through open communication and addressing clients at their present state, in a holistic manner. Open, honest communication with those I help is a strength that I rely on to provide essential care using evidence-based techniques and tools to guide improvement in overall health. My clients can expect to take away psychotherapeutic interventions that may not only improve their mental health, but with proper utilization of tools shared, they will experience improvements in all aspects of life.
I have been a registered nurse for over twenty years, and I was a licensed practical nurse prior to this. I have varied experience in nursing and health care to include, emergency nursing, chronic mental illness, acute mental illness, long-term acute care, residential treatment, case management, education, inpatient, and outpatient psychiatry. I have served in roles such as nurse educator, adjunct nursing professor, nurse manager, mental health advocate, health coach, and health team consultant.
