About me
I am a licensed Psychologist with over 37 years of experience. I am a Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist and a Regression Therapist specializing in Past Life Regression and Future Life Progression.
Before starting my private practice I was trained by and worked 7 years for Dr. Brian Weiss, the author of "Many Lives Many Masters" as an associate at the Weiss Institute and helped patients achieve their goals through Past Life Regression and Future Life Progression under Dr. Weiss' guidance and supervision.
I have an open minded approach and tailor treatment to individual patient's needs and goals. I combine conventional therapy with more eclectic methods such as client centered Humanistic Rogerian Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (Mindfulness Based), Solution focused Brief Therapy, Reality therapy, Socio-Cultural Therapy, Rational Emotional Behavioral Therapy, Holistic Therapy addressing Physical, Mental, Emotional, Psychological and Spiritual issues.
Some of the issues addressed in therapy are: Maximizing Happiness Within, Fostering Psycho-spiritual Growth, Actualizing Potential and Creativity, Overcoming Depression, Healing anger, Parenting with Patience, Coping with Stress Constructively, Enhancing Self-Esteem, Accepting self and others, Increasing Assertiveness and Communicating Effectively, Releasing fear of Failure and Fear of Success, Developing Time Management and Cultivating useful Study Skills, Working through Loss, Trauma, and Abuse, Eliminating Anxieties, Panic Attacks and Phobias, Conquering Compulsive Behaviors, Improving Relationships, and Letting go with Love.
I like to help clients cultivate their own critical thinking skills so that they can start finding solutions to their problems. I encourage them to heal from the past wounds and begin living mindfully in the present. Past Life Regressions are undertaken for this purpose. Patients are encouraged to take their insights from regression experience and apply them to make constructive behavior changes in the here and now.
For those who do not believe in past lives, the regression process is limited to the present life. In case a spontaneous past life experience occurs, during this life regression, then the content may be interpreted symbolically or metaphorically. Regression therapy leads patients to the roots and origins of their problems, conflicts, issues, blockages, disorders and obstacles that cause distress in this life time. Therefore, addressing the roots of a problem in psychotherapy gives patients a better perspective, allowing them to heal and move forward as they begin making positive changes in this life time.
In Progression therapy patients move forward to their future, whether in this or other life times, and from there they get a larger perspective of their current lives and learn to release hindering repetitive patterns and blockages from their past and their present. Upon doing so they are inspired to move forward in their present lives and live up to their fullest potential with joy and happiness.
I am currently maintaining my private practice in Miami, Florida since 2002. Prior to working with Dr. Brian Weiss at the Weiss Institute for 7 years, I worked as Crisis Director and as a Psychologist with Florida and Illinois Biodyne. In Illinois I also worked for several years at riverside Counseling and Psychiatric Associates as Child, Youth, and Family therapist. In Indiana I worked for South Western Indiana Mental Health Center as Psychologist serving Children, Youth, Families, Couples and Individuals. Prior to that I was a Behavioral Clinician III at Muscatatuck State Hospital and as a Program Coordinator at UYA (University Year for Action) at University of Evansville, Evansville, Indiana.
In addition to providing Individual, Couple and Family Therapy I have run following groups providing group psychotherapy: Parenting Groups, Coping with Stress Groups, Co-Dependency Groups, Anxiety Reduction Groups, Depression Reduction Groups, Pain Management Groups, Assertiveness Training Groups, Women's Issues Groups, Chronic Mental Illness Groups, Activity Therapy Groups for Children, and Senior Groups.
I have also served as an Adjunct Faculty and taught "Family Therapy" at the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology and taught "Practicum In Counseling Psychology" at the University of Southern Indiana formerly known as Indiana State University in Evansville, Indiana.
I have also been privileged to assist Brian L. Weiss, M.D. and Carol K. Weiss, M,S,W., CHt, in providing "Past Life Therapy Professional Training" to other Therapists and Professionals.
