About me
I’m Kyra, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington, specializing in working with adults, military families, and parents experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and began my career at a community mental health agency, where I provided counseling services to children and their families. Working with children ages 3 to 19 and their parents gave me firsthand insight into how stress and mental health concerns affect the entire family system.
In addition, my personal experience as a mother, former military spouse, and current law enforcement spouse provides valuable perspective on the unique challenges these families often face. These experiences sparked a desire to work more directly with parents, supporting them in building a strong and healthy foundation for their families.
I use an eclectic therapeutic approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy to meet you where you are and support you in reaching your goals. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and that care should reflect each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs.
I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can process your experiences, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change. Even when you feel stuck, movement is possible. My role is to partner with you as you regain confidence, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with your strengths. You do not have to navigate this alone.
