About me
Life is sometimes difficult and often we need someone to be with us as we encounter difficulties. I am dedicated to building a strong therapeutic relationship to assist you in alleviating symptoms and overcoming barriers in your life. I offer a highly personalized approach that is tailored to you. Our time together is focused on you discovering who you are and how you want to be. My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.
I am Kristy and I will be your primary therapist here. I recently celebrated my 50th birthday and am happy to have crossed this milestone. I have a private practice in Mineral, VA, as well as, seeing people on Talkspace. I have two adult children, one 18 and one 24, and am the proud parent of a 3 year old Maltitzu, a dog, who you will probably meet during live sessions.
I am available 5 days a week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. I will check your room 2 times per day to provide feedback or tips to help you manage your mental health. I do have limited availability for Video Chat. If you do not see a time on my schedule that works for you, please message me the days and times that work best for you and I will verify my availability and make an appointment for you, which you need to confirm.
This process requires two-way communication. I will send worksheets, links, and psychoeducational material that may be helpful to you and we work to get you feeling better. If the materials are unhelpful, please let me know that you would appreciate a different approach. I can be most helpful if you tell me what you are experiencing so we can work on what is most relevant.
