Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, specializing in trauma treatment, depression and anxiety.
When human beings experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to begin to unravel. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic or stressful experiences. I assist my clients, who include children, adolescents and adults to develop healthy insights regarding their strengths and abilities. I work with clients to enhance self-care and personal esteem so clients can become peaceful and whole. With support and guidance, clients work on developing coping mechanisms, learning new skills and fostering self-understanding. Self-awareness may be a very short process for some clients and longer for others. I will offer supportive therapy to assist clients in working towards a brighter future. I specialize in Child Centered Play Therapy for children ages 3-10. For children, play is their language and toys are their words. In play therapy, I work to establish a therapeutic relationship where the child feels safe and is able to explore and express his or herself freely. I also work collaboratively with the parents of my play therapy clients. I know that no single therapeutic approach is right for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities including: Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My educational background includes a Master’s of Arts in Education and a Master’s of Arts in Counseling, both from Boise State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Idaho as well as a National Certified Counselor. I have over 20 years’ experience working in mental health, education and the social service field.
I look forward to beginning the therapeutic journey with you.
