About me
Current Openings -- I am an experienced clinical social worker who who is dedicated to offering a safe, inclusive space for you to work through stress, trauma, confusion and discomfort without judgement. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions and individuals within relationships (familial, friendship, romantic, or otherwise). I am an ally to all humans and believe that kindness and conversation can help us to support and understand each other in a more positive light.
I approach therapy as if we are having a conversation. I want to get to know you, what is important to you and what parts of your life you are wanting to improve. I look at each individual through a unique, holistic lens to where you are the expert in your own life and each piece of your life creates your balance. This balance can be thrown off through anxiety, depression, life events, relationships, births/deaths, and everything in between. My passion in life surrounds supporting people in understanding and becoming the best versions of themselves, and I want to be able to do that with you!
Throughout my career I have been able to work in multiple environments and settings:
- Outpatient Therapist working with inclusively with all diagnoses
- Medical Social Worker in a children's hospital
- Crisis Therapist in a 24/hr Crisis center
- Individual and Family Therapist in a Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children/Teenagers (12-17y) in a dual diagnostic program (both substance abuse and mental health treatment)
- Investigator for the State of Tennessee within Child Abuse/Neglect
- Early Intervention Services Social Worker with parents/children for the State of Colorado
- Foster Care Coordinator to train and work with foster parents
When I am not furthering my education through trainings or within my therapy practice, I love spending time with my husband and four children, our dog and my extended family and friends. Self-care for me looks like a lit candle, reality tv, crime podcasts, reading a good book, traveling and trying new restaurants.
