About me
I am a bilingual mental health professional with extensive experience. I provide culturally relevant support to individuals from different cultural backgrounds. I understand the importance of providing appropriate care that is tailored to the individual's unique circumstances. I also strive to provide a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere where clients feel comfortable and safe. I strive to create a supportive environment that encourages personal growth and healing.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s in Psychology from the American Military University. My experience includes working with the University of Washington in Early Childhood Education, along with having worked in various school districts providing support to families and children as a Family Advocate. I have also worked as a crisis response behavioral health clinician with at risk youth and families through Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe). I am experienced in working with families from diverse communities, and have focused on supporting the development of positive communication skills and family strengths. My goal is to support youth and families identify their individual strengths. By highlighting
individual strengths, it will be possible for the youth and family to think about their goals in an encouraging, positive and realistic manner that fits best for their own lives and helps build them up. I focus on supporting families in learning skills to improve communication and expectation as it refers to their individual needs and growth since each family has their own needs and their own strengths. When working with clients I utilize approaches that are individualized for the individual needs. I believe each individual has the potential to achieve their goals so let’s create a safe space to explore, learn and grow as part of the journey to your own personal success.
