About me
I enjoy working with diverse population of individuals (children, adolescents, teens, and adults) dealing with anxiety/fear, emotion management, low self-esteem/self-worth, abuse, sexual identity concerns, relationship issues, life transition difficulties, as well as individuals struggling with mental health disorders.
As a therapist, it is an honor to be part of another person's process in understanding their personal worth. I respect and value my client's self-determination, therefore, my therapeutic approach is eclectic to correspond with the matter at hand. I am empathetic, patient and respectful, while building a relationship with my client. I believe that progress begins when my client has established trust in our relationship. I have faith that each client has the ability to discover their strengths and to use these strengths to achieve their individual goals.
I also work from a collaborative perspective, believing that building rapport and trust is the most helpful in clients achieving their goals. I aim to create a warm and safe environment that encourages individuals, couples, and families to identify, explore, and heal their particular areas of difficulty.
I work together with my clients to help them develop a better understanding of their histories, triggers, and patterns of behavior in order to get unstuck and create new endings to old stories, build coping skills, and capacity for resiliency in order to face stressors and fears that are blocking growth; learn to live authentically in order to create a life congruent with what matters to them.
I have over 13 years of experience working with individuals from very diverse backgrounds as well as with severe and persistent mental health disorders. I am passionate about engaging with my clients to help them find their own path. I look forward to helping you reach your goals and supporting you on your journey.
