About me
I’m Dr. Kimberley Bell and I’m excited to share my passion with you. I love coaching, mentoring, educating, and counseling individuals to find their passion in life. I strive to help individuals remove blocks that are keeping them from being productive and provide the tools and resources to help them thrive for behavioral change. Through this process, individuals have an opportunity to flourish and prosper in life.
My practice is located in Brush Colorado and is a Christian company serving Eastern Colorado and surrounding areas.
A good solid relationship with my clients is something I strive for, especially since the client relationship is a crucial part of any counseling foundation. While my experience and behavioral techniques have the ability to help you improve your life by making behavioral changes over time, the most important aspect of my practice is that each client receives professional support that brings a sense of security, non-judgment, empathy, and compassion.
My professional journey as an unlicensed psychotherapist started in 2017, after graduating with my Ph.D. in Psychology from Capella University in 2016. I have received many facets of training since that time and I have been involved in counseling and clinical environments that have helped build the foundation for my mental health counseling practice. My training has consisted of addiction counseling, treatment centers for adolescents, jail-based treatment programs, sobriety court treatment, and several pieces of training through the Office of Behavioral Health in Colorado. Currently, I attend Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center pursuing a degree in Mental Health Counseling and will graduate in the Spring of 2022.
I have been an unlicensed psychotherapist through the state of Colorado for 5 years and absolutely love what I do. I I utilize a variety of behavioral techniques in my practice, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, stress management, boundary training, healing trauma, increasing self-worth, assertiveness training, mood management, anxiety reduction, self-empowerment, self-esteem building skills, and work/life balance.
In addition, I have extensive experience working with students. I have served as a paraprofessional educator working with children with disabilities while assisting special education teachers and general education teachers in general daily classroom activities for special needs students for 2 years, I also deliver personalized educational, behavioral and emotional support to individual students to enable positive learning outcomes. In addition, I have been an undergraduate and graduate adjunct professor for the University of the People for 4 years and work and instruct students from all over the world.
