Finding Balance for Abundant Living.
This is the motto that drives the mission of my practice. I help people find the balance they are seeking. They tell me when they have found it. It is not about being free from suffering, but learning to LIVE ABUNDANTLY in the midst of the suffering that comes to us all.

While my practice is open to anyone seeking mental health services I find my most successful clients are those dealing with anxiety (stress) based concerns. For me, that means seeing someone who may be dealing with any one of the issues I have identified in my profile that I have experience working with. I am specialty trained in helping people with Complex Trauma; PTSD; Loss, Grief, and Bereavement issues; Parent-Child and Family Conflict problems; Complex Life Adjustment concerns; Educational and Career concerns, and Spiritual/Existential Development. My approach to counseling is client focused. I meet clients where they are and assist them in successfully reaching their wellness goals. We are whole people, not mental health diseases or disorders. It is the entire person that comes to my office and enters into the counseling relationship. My clients tell me my office is a safe and secure place where they are able to work through concerns without fear of judgment. They also tell me that therapy is hard work but worth the effort.

Therapy is not a one size fits all type of experience. Each person that enters my office is unique. I believe that each one is amazing and deserves the best of opportunities to find balance in their lives and flourish. I also realize that I am not "everyone's cup of tea" when it comes to therapy. So, if you come to me and you do not think it's a good fit, tell me. I will work with you to find a therapist you are able to work with because your well-being is my first concern.

My background is diverse. I have worked in the Human Services sector my entire career. I served as a minister for over 25 years working in several different capacities. During that time I also taught school as a certified teacher and was involved in many different community groups. After my years in the ministry, I returned to the university to complete my education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been working as a therapist since that time.
