Professionally, I work with a domestic violence program that serves Rockdale, Newton, and Walton counties here in Georgia. For the last three years, I have been the Peer Support Advocate for Project ReNeWal where I facilitate weekly support groups within the community. I also enjoy working with kids as I served as the Child Advocate for Project ReNeWal as well.

My name is Kim Maughon. I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. I believe that everyone is different and has a different “normal”. Finding your “normal” and learning to accept it can be a rewarding experience. This experience starts with learning to love yourself. Using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I provide my clients with the tools to change their thinking and behavior patterns and navigate their individual stories.

My goal is to help my clients lead productive lives and achieve self-love. Seeing my clients thrive in their day to day lives is the reason I chose Counseling as a career.
