Katie Kapugi, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Art Therapist. I work primarily with complex trauma, persistent mental health disorders, relationship and attachment issues, anxiety, and chronic illness.

I have worked in a variety of settings including: hospital, school, and community mental health. I now split my time between non-profit and private practice work. Currently I am virtual only, and provide services through telehealth. I serve Washington State residents only, and am Seattle based.

I work collaboratively with clients as they engage in their own process of self discovery. I am strengths based--leaning in on the client's natural strengths and building others to promote healing, Humanistic, social justice oriented, and draw from a variety of theoretical models in order to find the best fit for each client. My work tends to be long-term and focuses on depth and self-inquiry. I have training in Polyvagal theory, autonomic nervous system regulation, biofeedback, and a variety of other evidence based practices including trauma informed cognitive behavioral therapy and DBT informed practice.

my Masters is a dual degree in both mental health counseling and Art Therapy. I use a variety of creative techniques in my work if applicable.
