Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I provide effective psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and adolescents from a place of acceptance and compassion. I am dedicated to helping my clients not only experience symptom relief but also growth that leads to enhanced mental well-being and satisfying relationships.
I strive to create a warm and accepting environment for you to explore areas of pain, unease, and confusion. I tailer treatment to individual needs and I consider myself a fellow traveler, an assistant in your pursuit of what is right and true for you. Along this path I may offer tools, such as cognitive behavioral therapy interventions and mindfulness work, with the goal of increasing awareness around distorted thoughts that are perhaps creating emotional distress and negatively impacting your experience of life and your relationships. I also often utilize narrative therapy interventions as well, which help one to make sense of their experiences, both painful and joyful, and weave them into a cohesive story from which healing and greater self-understanding and acceptance emerges.
I specialize in grief work, anxiety, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, and in navigating life transitions. I have advanced training in grief counseling, Exposure and Response Prevention for anxiety, and in healing traumatized relationships. My work is rooted in relational and developmental perspectives, which emphasize the impact that personal relationships have on one's mental well-being as well as the significant role that one's early childhood experiences and relationships have on the manner in which life is navigated as an adult. I view therapy as an opportunity for one to experience an authentic, supportive, and collaborative relationship. I am guided by my belief in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship and years of research supports this concept, as it has been found that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is fundamental to successful treatment.
I believe in your potential to heal past wounds, learn and implement effective ways of coping with stressful life circumstances, and to feel fulfilled and at peace in your life and in your relationships. I invite you to contact me for a free 20-minute consultation and I look forward to supporting you along your healing journey.
