About me

I am an art therapist and licensed professional counselor with over 20 years working with young children, adolescents, families, and young adults. I am a researcher who considers all of the ways that creativity and creative processes support our emotional health and personal growth.

I have been running a small group practice in the city of Philadelphia for over 15 years where we see clients at our outpatient offices as well as push into schools through an outreach non-profit arm, Spark Art Therapy. We support a wide variety of issues and needs that impact individuals and families including complex family systems. We have a deep appreciation for learning needs, emotional concerns along with primary symptom presentations such as depression and anxiety. Our framework is one that looks at the context in which concerns arise and take our time with each client to develop an approach that works on individual coping and emotional regulation, integration of narrative and personal experience along with systemic change. We are a practice rooted in respect and allyship for individual identity and the struggles that come with honoring that identity.
Our practice works with individuals, families, and runs groups that focus on social and emotional development, processing our struggles and identities and grief. From initial contact through the termination of therapy, we aim to be responsive to your concerns and needs at every stage of the therapeutic process.
