I am an experienced clinician working primarily with young adults navigating changes in their lives which bring up anxiety about the future or raise feelings of depression about the past, either or both of which may leave them feeling "stuck."

I am a career-changer and retrained in Mental Health after several decades in the commercial sector in both the US and France. Having seen the impact that a gifted therapist can have in the life of someone who is suffering, I decided to focus in areas where an increasing number of people are struggling, working with people with Borderline Personality Disorder, those facing major life transitions, and people at different stages of recovery from an Eating Disorder.

I spent a year at the The Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders running groups and working one-on-one with clients from 17 to 56 years of age. My research and volunteer work has brought me face-to-face with the struggles of first-generation college students in the US and the difficulties many face navigating cultural expectations and the individualistic assumptions of higher ed in this country. I have also trained in the use of psychological testing and feel it is a wonderful way to unearth some deeply buried issues, many of which need to be processed for a person to feel safety and calm.

Our work together will begin with what has brought you to seek help today. Many patients are experiencing stress in the very areas (work, home, school) which had in the past been their bedrocks of stability, all upended by COVID. As a result, you may be experiencing anxiety, depression or panic attacks for the very first time. We will sift through the challenges in front of you and establish goals for recovery. Having clear goals will help us in the work ahead and also give you a way to measure and appreciate your progress along the way. Our work may include journaling to aid in reflection, or mindfulness exercises to help you ground yourself during times of stress.

If you’re ready to begin, I welcome you to a safe, judgement-free zone and an empathetic ear to listen and guide you through the tangle of emotions, decisions and reflections which may feel overwhelming today. You're on the way to feeling better, and you don't have to take the journey alone.
