Katelyn Grbavac, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed professional counselor who is dedicated to helping children and adolescents cope with their anxiety, depression, and anger. I have experience in trauma informed care and play therapy approaches, as well.
I have been a Licensed professional counselor for over 3 years now. I have worked with children, adolescents and families who have struggles with emotional-behavioral, intellectual and trauma-related illnesses. I have specialized my focus in areas of anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity, complex trauma and self-esteem issues. I have done this work both individually, in group and family therapy within a variety of settings. I enjoy working with the 10-30 year old age group but during my time as an in-home therapist I have worked with children as young as 4 years old.
I utilize a combination of Client- Centered and Cognitive Behavioral therapy with my clients. I like to incorporate art and play therapy techniques, as well. I am currently working on increasing my knowledge in animal-assisted therapies to work into my practice.
In my free time, I enjoy taking my dog for long walks and exploring new restaurants in the area. I also enjoy relaxing at home watching movies and playing Cribbage with my husband. I am also a huge Harry Potter fan and love penguins!
If you are ready to get the support and help you want, feel free to find me on BetterHelp and request me as your therapist. I am only accepting clients through this platform at this time.
