I know from personal and professional experience just how uncomfortable and debilitating anxiety and stress can be. It's hard to thrive when your nervous system is trying to survive. I help my clients get out of fight/flight/freeze and learn to feel more calm in their bodies through the use of mindfulness, grounding and breathing techniques. I also use exposure and response prevention for OCD, intrusive thoughts, or fears to train you to cope with uncomfortable thoughts and emotions.
In addition to my experience as a therapist, I'm also a certified yoga instructor. I help others using the same skills that helped me learn to manage my own anxiety and stress, through the combination of cognitive behavioral strategies, yoga, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I will offer a safe space for you to get to know yourself and understand what behaviors and thought patterns are keeping you stuck. We'll work on gaining insight while making changes so that you can create a life you feel good about.
