About me
I am an experienced mental health therapist who has dedicated myself to helping adults with mental health and addictions to include anxiety, depression, attachment, substance abuse and sexual addictions
I was a nurse for 30 years prior to becoming a licensed therapist so I work from a holistic approach to wellness. My personal history includes recovering alcoholic for over 24 years, married over 30 years to military member, cancer survivor, and have an adult autistic child and two autistic grandchildren. Professionally I hold a MA in Counseling, and MBA and a D-Min (Christian Ministries). I am currently working on extra certification and a PhD in Sexual Addictions to include Counseling Sexual Offenders). I believe therapy is a collaborative process and that each client has holds the ability to find within themselves the purpose and path to their lives, using strategies through CBT, DBT, Solution focused- Psychodynamic therapies. I also use Neurolinguistic and EFT techniques.
