About me
I have over 24 years of experience working with children and families, with 12 years in private practice. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, and challenging children's behaviors.
I work with clients of all ages. With younger populations I specialize in childhood anxiety, depression, neglect/abuse, children of divorce, anger management, and aggressive behaviors. With adults I use client centered and solution focused approaches to address symptoms related to anxiety, depression, and adverse experiences including trauma. I am trained in TF-CBT (trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy) and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and utilize those therapies with both children and adults. I look for behavioral and wholistic ways to improve functioning before suggesting medicinal interventions.
My therapy approach incorporates brain science, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and sensory integration. I give my clients ideas that work, even when nothing else has worked. I utilize Mindfulness and EMDR to help clients of all ages decrease symptoms of stress, anxiety, PTSD, and depression. I have completed the certification process to become EMDR certified.
