In my practice, I find great value in meeting you where you are, building a relationship with you, and working together to differentiate between things you may wish to change from things to embrace in your life. This process may contain challenging moments; however, I would be happy to walk along with you in this journey of moving forward and creating peace in your mind.
During my 11 years of experience, I have worked with children and their families, adults within a non-profit community setting, a residential facility, and organizations working collaboratively with various healthcare providers. I have worked with diverse populations-immigrants, expats, military personnel and their families, and multi-cultural families- in several locations including metropolitan areas, Seoul, and Chicago. Before Austin, I also practiced in a small college town, Champaign, IL.
I am passionate about meeting people where they are and working together to help them build healthier and kinder relationships with themselves. My role in this process is to provide a non-judgmental and supportive space and a relationship where you can safely explore your experiences, receive validation, and build the courage to face reality. I strive to work with you to gain an understanding of creating peace in your mind, a feeling of moving forward, and experiencing comfort and acceptance of yourself.
I have worked with individuals of all ages (children (6+) and their families as well) and experiences having various life challenges: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adjustment, relationship issues, family of origin issues, unresolved childhood trauma, trauma, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and self-acceptance.
Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or finding a new support, I applaud you for taking the first step. I am looking forward to our journey together!
