Judith Hoffman, Clinical Social Worker

I am a seasoned clinical social worker who is dedicated to help folks live in peace and joy, learning to problem-solve and be in relationship with others successfully.

I am currently in a virtual practice during these interesting times we are living in. I gave up my office. I live in SC and work with adults individually as well as couples counseling. I am a Spirit-filled Christian and believe that God holds the power to heal us and give us what we need to live successfully in the world He has placed us in. Prior to a session, I ask God to give me what I need to help the client/couple I am about to talk with. I am spiritual but I do not force my beliefs on others. I am a great listener. I was trained mainly in the school of hard knocks even though of course I went through the necessary coursework and licensure requirements to become a private practitioner. I work in many areas: substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, issues of aging. I enjoy my work with couples or individuals who need to discuss their love interest to iron out problems or gain insight in the dynamics of their relationship. I enjoy helping people with their family relationships, family of origin or nuclear family. I help people who have lost love ones.

I am down to earth and tend to see issues clearly and realistically. I believe in giving my clients what they need whether it is being listened to and heard , giving suggestions ane ideas on how to approach a need. I am not afraid to gently confront poor behavior if needed. I expect my clients to work to feel better and make changes. It is my job to motivate them to do what they are capable of doing to help themselves. Life is to be lived and enjoyed.
