Hello, my name is Joe Mirabella and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the former Clinical Director of Resolve Community Counseling Center in Naples Florida. Having been licensed in two states (FL & NJ), I have 30 years’ experience in many aspects of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling (includes pre-license internship). A retired adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Counseling at Kean University in NJ, I have worked in school and community based agencies, as well as private practice. A Board Certified Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), I have counseled Adults, Adolescents, & Families in both group and individual settings. My wife and I live Naples Florida and are active in community and church affairs.
I would describe my counseling approach as solution focused and client centered. I have a firm belief that the client is the most important person in the counseling relationship; and very often is capable of being an active participant in the solution focused process. I have experience working with clients who have experienced difficulties with depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. Military veterans and first responders have also been a particular focus of my practice. Regardless of the presenting issues, however, I have found that treating my clients with compassion, respect, and empathy have produced sustained results. I am available to meet with clients to further discuss potential remedies for the conflicts that are making their lives stressful.
My hours of practice are limited to day time appointments. I see all of my clients via the web using a HIPPA compliant web site that also has a secure payment function for a “pay as you go” agreement. Insurance claims are handled by providing the client with a statement of services to help facilitate their claims for reimbursement.
