About me
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW license #14457) providing therapy to adults, adolescents, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship stress. I bring over 30 years of U.S. Army service and 10 years as a high school special education teacher, with extensive experience working with adolescents in grades 6–12. I practice under the clinical supervision of Dr. Nicholas Simons-Bracken, DSW, MSW, LCSW, LSCSW (License No. 05843).
My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and grounded. Therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard while also gaining practical tools for change. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, along with mindfulness, and narrative work tailored to my client’s needs. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas and a Master’s degree in Education from Loyola Marymount University. Whether you are an adult feeling overwhelmed or a parent seeking support for your child, I offer a steady, respectful space to do meaningful work toward stability, clarity, and growth.
