Hi. I 'm Joe Kanotz. Finding the right practitioner can be daunting, as all therapists are not alike. So much depends on personal fit "this feels right". I have had a successful private practice since 1990. Prior to that I worked in just about in every setting possible : group private practice, psychiatric practice, community mental health, community hospital, partial hospital, VA hospital and state hospital. Since I have watched services evolve, I try to match best practices for unique client needs. Post graduate study: I stay current through professional reading and continuing education license requirements. For over a decade I was part of a Transactional Analysis oriented training group with national and international trainers. More personally, I grew up in Canonsburg and went to Canon-Mac schools. Undergraduate work was at the University of Oklahoma and graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh with several awards and honors.
