I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker & a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor recently retired with the w/the Department of Defense - USMC/USN. I have over 30+ years experience in the field of Social Work.
If you have any parents interested in joining a parenting group I offer a parenting program for parents of adolescents utilizing the S.T.E.P. program (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting). I have provided this 8 week program in the past in the public school system and for a special education residential program and special education day treatment program both in the states of NY & CA. STEP/Teen has been helping parents build close family relationships for over thirty years. STEP/Teen not only helps parents with everyday problems such as moods, school work issues, and meals, it also confronts today's more complex issues-substance use, sex, gangs and depression.
