I am a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma. I believe that most psychological suffering is rooted in trauma and attachment wounds. Many of my clients come to me for anxiety, depression, addiction or problems in their relationships. Often, these are symptoms of deeper core issues that can be addressed in therapy.
After receiving my doctoral degree in clinical psychology I have continued to study the treatment of trauma and attachment wounds. I am a certifies EMDR therapist, a Master NARM therapist, trained in TRM and have studied Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I believe that therapy must address thoughts, feelings, emotions and the body. I have studied "Right Brain" psychotherapy for the past 12 years with Dr. Allan Schore. This neuro-biological understanding informs my belief in mind/ body therapy. Therapies such a NARM, TRM and Sensorimotor work below the words and help to integrate mind and body. I believe that psychotherapy can offer more than just relief of symptoms but can also offer growth, aliveness and an expanded capacity to experience all of our emotions without being ruled by them.
