About me

I am a licensed social worker and psychotherapist who offers sessions both in person & virtually with folks throughout PA. I work with a wide variety of clients who come from diverse backgrounds, & are seeking therapy for different reasons. I am an integrative & pluralistic therapist who collaborates with clients, helping them to explore how they hope to use the time & space of therapy, and figure out what kind of support & help feels most safe, comfortable & effective for them.

I am a trans and nonbinary person with lived experience of neurodivergence (AuDHD), disability, and mental health challenges. I have been in long term recovery (& actively involved in recovery communities) for more than 20 years. I am also a therapy client (& have been since I was young), which informs my perspective as a therapist and advocate for clients.

It is a sacred opportunity to be a witness & walk alongside people as they engage in this work. I feel reverence & gratitude for the privilege & responsibility of that role. I believes that clients hold more wisdom & knowing than they realize, & I hope to help clients listen to their gut & intuition, & begin to trust themselves more. I know that clients are the experts on themselves and their truth(s), and I trust that clients can be assumed to be accurate & reliable reporters of their own experience. I recognize that each human being, their circumstances & history are unique, and therefore what may be most helpful or effective in their healing process will be as well.

I am drawn to therapeutic approaches that are relational, humanistic, & strengths based. I value being able to approach & adapt therapy in various ways, depending on the client, their unique needs & neurotype, & the focus of the work (e.g., neurodivergent-affirming). I believes that it's important for therapists to be flexible & able to respond to the client's in-the-moment shifts in preferences, comfort, & boundaries. My intention is to create the conditions for clients to have more agency, experience self-efficacy & feel empowered in the therapeutic process. I hope to foster a space that feels safe enough for clients to be less inhibited, more authentically themselves, to ask for what they need, & experiment with new ways of being in relationships with others and themselves.

My areas of interest include: self-compassion; boundaries; attachment; acceptance & change (both/and); codependency; practical spirituality (meaning/purpose, wonder/awe); hope; identities/ selves; unrecognized grief & loss; healthy sources of peace, ease & pleasure; mindfulness; freedom & liberation; connection & community; harm reduction; relationship with ourselves; authenticity; and practicing the disciplines of joy, fun & humor.

I am an animal lover, a vegan, a food enthusiast, and a homebody. In my free time, I like to attend online Buddhist recovery meetings, take walks (look at trees & sky), listen to podcasts, connect with friends, watch comfort tv shows, & hang out with my cat.
