About me
I have an alternative, integrated mental health and wellness perspective that involves guided imagery, mindfulness, guided imagery, expressive arts therapy, ancient traditions and energywork, movement, nutrition/herbs/supplements with traditional practices like DBT, CBT, ACT, SFT in a hybrid, highly personalized treatment modality. With lived experience as well as academic, I understand the struggle of finding a good fit practitioner. I specialize in anxiety/panic, all types of trauma, grief and addictions, specifically serving women and those who identify as women. Current openings available, No insurance accepted. Sliding Scale Available.

I specialize in trauma treatment of women and am a open and accepting ally to all individuals, an interfaith mystic and New Thought Practitioner and Reverend embracing the energy work of Cyndi Dale, indigenous ancestry, shamanism, animism, the great mystics and the Curandera path. I am of Irish, German, Anashinnabe/Eastern Cherokee/Osage and Quaker descent and I love in the land of the Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Wyandot, Fox and Shawnee people."

She has been a participant and student of Bhakti yoga for more than a decade, and has earned her E-RYT200 and RYT500 yoga teacher credential as well as her Accessible Yoga Teacher credential. She specializes in chair, bed, restorative and accessible Yin all from a trauma informed lens. She is a certified mindfulness teacher and coach and has completed year long training in Mindfulness Mind Fitness Training as well as 3 week long trainings in MBSR. She is also specifically trained in Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness. Dr. Waters has practiced, celebrated and studied multiple faith traditions and spiritual practices throughout the world. She was honored by President George W Bush in 2006 with the President's Volunteer Service Award for work with women and children and is presently the Executive Director of The Center for Therapeutic Expressive Arts in Kansas City. Dr. Waters practice is telehealth based offering convenience to busy lives. She does offer limited in person sessions in the Kansas City Metro area for substance abuse and coaching only. Her main office is based in Boulder, Colorado. She provides psychotherapy and substance abuse counseling services through a person centered, integrated, eclectic lens to clients in Colorado and Vermont. Integrated mental wellness services and Curanderismo services are available through her coaching across the United States.
Sessions fee for a 60 minute session is 80.00 with no insurance accepted. You may use HSA cards. Sliding Scale fee is available. 90 minute sessions available for those that qualify.
Accepting new clients from Colorado and Vermont for Psychotherapy.
Accepting new clients from Colorado, Vermont, Missouri, Nebraska for addiction counseling must be 60 days out of detox minimum.
