About me
I am an experienced marriage & family therapist who specializes in working with relationship difficulties related to life changes, anxiety, parenthood, maternal mental health, and perfectionism.
Relationships are full of change and often look different than we envisioned. We're exhausted by trying to juggle it all and constantly second guessing our choices. We try to figure out how to honor our past yet pave a new way for ourselves and future generations. Relationships that used to bring us joy get put on the backburner as we navigate so many changes while wondering when we will feel like ourselves again. These changes make us feel alone and make it hard to reach out to our supports, but you can find peace, empower yourself, and find deep connection again while releasing the guilt.
I help individuals and couples rekindle and nurture relationships with themself and others and equip you with the tools you need to make lasting, positive changes. I use an integrative approach that helps you better understand the ties between thought patterns, past experiences, and emotions. My clients describe me as warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental.
I have specialized training to treat Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, including postpartum anxiety, depression, and psychosis. Pregnancy and the postpartum period are unique seasons of life that require a provider to have knowledge and experience that honor the birthing parent, their partner, and their families.
I believe that every person has innate dignity and is worthy of respect. We all have the capacity to grow and change, but sometimes our work will focus on finding your inner compass and strength to believe in yourself and your future.
I truly believe that each one of us is the expert of our own lives. My job is to combine my clinical knowledge and skill with your strengths and lived experience to find the best way to help you live more authentically and in alignment with your values.
I believe that persons of color and marginalized groups deserve quality care that honors who they are, their ancestral past, and collective experiences, yet works to break the intergenerational cycles and beliefs that are keeping us from true healing.
I believe that all parents and families deserve equal support and love, regardless of legal status, sexuality, and gender identity.
Know that you do not have to go through it alone. Together, we can help you cultivate the life you want and deserve. Take the first step towards reclaiming your life today.
