Hello, My name is Jessica Delgatto and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist. I became a therapist after experiencing my own therapy journey that changed my life for the better. I believe strongly that even if it may not feel you are, you are the expert of you. I am the owner of Lavender House for Mental Wellness, which focuses on telehealth. Lavender House became to be to assist those in therapy to find the balance and joy to live their life they want. Through using my two decades of working in many different areas of mental health services, ongoing academia, networking, and focusing on your goals will get you there.
I practice as a very mindful and eclectic therapist with compassion meeting you exactly where you are at. I utilize theories of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Functional and Reality therapy techniques, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Solution focused skills, Somatic therapy skills, and most importantly areas of using your strengths to work through the issues and/or symptoms that brought you to the decision of working in mental health therapy. I have worked with all ages, many different cultures, any walk of life, and believe you come as who you are to therapy. I will accept you for you just as you are. I specialize in treating anxiety disorder, significant life transitions, areas of sexual abuse survival recovery, exposure to abuse/trauma, technology exposure resulting in trauma, and addictions to pornography. I am a licensed mental health clinician in Florida and Wyoming, certified clinical trauma treatment professional level two, grief certified, certified in anger management, DBT certified, experienced working in juvenile justice/foster care/ and assessment of this population, and kink awareness. I have experience working within forensic area of sexual offenses as well as victimization and treating individuals who have sexual addictions, specifically technology and pornography. As I mentioned, I do work with all ages, however, I specialize in children, adolescents, and young adults. Now for some information on me.
I am from beautiful Florida and currently reside here. As mentioned before I own Lavender House and do contract work within the state of Florida. I also work within other states, currently Georgia, Wyoming, Alaska, and the United Kingdom. I am knowledgeable of laws and requirements with full compliance to this is a passion of mine. Each person in our care at Lavender House can expect to be treated with respect, understanding, kindness, a little fun with appropriate humor, and patience. Now a little about me.
I am a mom to a adult young man who is awesome. He is definitely something I am proud of. In my free time I love spending it with my family, close friends, finding new adventures, photography, and believe it or not researching areas of interest in the mental health field. I also adore crafting more than average and often use this working together if you are interested in crafts/art/music and ecotherapy approaches. I know still sort of "work" for some, for me it is essentially entertaining. I love animals and yes my dogs are family. I do work in animal assisted therapy and have completed extensive training in this area. Currently, Lavender Houses beautiful emotional support therapy dog, passed at the age of 19 and we are in the process of educating and training the perfect companion to add animal therapy to our services. I try to find fun in every day and gratitude in my day. I am very open to those I work with so if you have any questions or would like to schedule with me please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you. No matter what your therapist choice decision is, know I am proud of you for making the first step in choosing to be your best self!
