I am a licensed mental health therapist who is dedicated to helping teens and adults cope with depression, anxiety and trauma. I my specialty is working with domestic violence survivors

My name is Jenn Mayeda and I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHC) and Mental Health Professional (MHP). I have a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Portland State University. My experience as a therapist comes from working for many years in community mental health with a wide range of clients. I have worked with children, families, teens, and adults in various programs. I also have experience doing crisis outreach at hospitals and answering calls on the crisis line and working on a specialized domestic violence team where we collaborated closely with a local DV agency to provide therapy and support to DV survivors and families impacted by domestic violence.

My experience includes working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, Bi-polar disorder, grief and loss, life adjustments, trauma and parenting skills and support. I especially enjoy working with survivors of domestic violence. Many people think of domestic violence being mostly physical abuse, but DV also includes mental, emotional, psychological, sexual, financial, technology, religious, technology and physical abuse as well as power and control. I hold a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS) certificate.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my 2 sons, cooking, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, spending time at the beach and visiting new places.

My role as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment for my clients. I empower individuals to overcome personal obstacles they are experiencing by using a variety of treatment techniques depending on the needs of each individual. I enjoy helping clients explore ways to make changes in their lives and learn new skills so they can have a hopeful and fulfilling future.

If you are ready to make a positive change in your life, I encourage you to take that first step. I look forward to working with you and consider it a privilege and an honor to work alongside you on this journey.

Please contact me below to schedule an intake or a free 20-minute consultation to discuss any questions you may have and to see if we may be a good fit to work together. I am currently licensed in Washington state, therefore only able to meet with clients who reside in WA and who are physically located in WA state.
