Are you a parent who is feeling the stress of raising children in a fast paced world? Are you the parent of a child with special needs who feels exhausted?

I work with parents to help manage their stress and take care of themselves so they can be reconnected to the joy of parenting. We can work together to find techniques that work for you. Even if you are not a parent I would love to work with you. My private practice focus has been on stress management as well as management of depression and anxiety. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in the mental health field for over 15 years. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have worked in several mental health settings including community mental health and have been in private practice for several years. My therapy sessions are a safe, non-judgmental place where you can express your concerns. Reaching out for help can feel scary but you have taken the first step which is often times the hardest part. I look forward to working with you.

My clients can expect to take away from our sessions increased sense of self-awareness, an understanding of any barriers to being your best self, personal goals, and a little bit of homework.

My treatment methods include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy techniques, dialectical behavior therapy techniques, an emphasis on self-care wrapped up in an atmosphere of unconditional positive regard.
