We at Gomez Counseling and Consulting Services - Trauma Healing and Recovery Center specialize in working with adults dealing with Complex trauma. The trauma healing team is trained in using models proven to resolve the trauma and reduce the accumulated stress, so you can get on with your life.

GCCS specializes in trauma treatment and recovery. We go beyond talk therapy by utilizing modalities proven to bring results in trauma healing that can be sustained. We are passionate about helping clients move from feeling stuck to having more flow in their life, in their body and in their overall well being. At our practice, we focus on treatment models that provide the most lasting impact in a clients life and recovery. Such models include, Somatic Experiencing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Brainspotting, Integral Somatic Psychology, Experiential Intensive workshops and Healing Touch, to name a few. These deeper forms of healing help bridge the mind and body
gap, cultivate befriending your body, regulate the autonomic nervous system, and release frozen energy stored in the body.
As trauma and relational therapists, we primarily use the Post Induction treatment PIT model developed by Pia Mellody as a foundation, which focuses on healing childhood trauma, relational trauma, codependence, anxiety disorders and addictions.
Jeanna Gomez is the owner of Gomez Counseling and Consulting Services (GCCS), and Trauma Healing and Recovery Center. She comes with 20+ years in clinical and trauma recovery experience. All other Trauma therapists at GCCS are trained and passionate about providing trauma therapy and have extensive experience working with trauma survivors.

Jeanna spearheaded bringing the Somatic Experiencing Professional Trainings to Houston and is the Lead Training Assistant for the Houston and the first Latina SE Practitioner in Houston. She is also now on the Faculty Track for Somatic Experiencing International (SEI) and will begin her own SE trainings in the coming year. For SE students she offers Personal and Case Consultations as well as Group Case Consultations and monthly Gatherings for BIPOC SE Trauma Professionals.
