About me
I am a holistic psychotherapist with over fifteen years of experience helping adults, couples, and children to cope with trauma, loss, depression, anxiety, critical illness, and relationship issues.
Experiences of trauma and loss can affect one’s self-esteem, self-confidence, and outlook on the future. Coping with a critical illness or disability can be overwhelming. I use a gentle, empathic approach to help people to express their feelings about painful experiences and develop higher self-esteem. I tailor my approach to the unique needs of the individual.
As a holistic psychotherapist, I integrate evidence-based modalities, such as Trauma-Focused CBT and EMDR, with complementary approaches, such as meditation, mindfulness, somatic therapy, therapeutic yoga, and energy psychology. In addition, as a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I have experience providing supportive coaching on developing healthier eating habits that support mental health.
I also work with adults in different phases of life, who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their life's purpose. My approach often includes Jungian-informed dream interpretation, art therapy, and strengths-based, humanistic therapy.
In my work with couples, I generally use a modified Imago approach and/or aspects of Internal Family Systems therapy. I help couples to improve their communication, deepen their understanding of how their past experiences affected their relationship, improve their capacity to support each other around fulfilling unresolved needs from childhood, and strengthen their relationship.
In working with children, I use a very gentle, supportive, child-centered approach that includes trauma-focused therapy, art therapy, and play therapy.
I will walk beside you on your own unique journey of healing . . . and support your efforts to reach your true potential and have a more fulfilling life.
