I started my career working in intensive in home services working with at risk children. I then worked for 12 years for child protective services, working 6 of those years in a specialized forensic unit working primarily with sexual abuse and physical abuse. I worked for a mobile crisis unit and collaborated with the police department to support police in managing mental health calls. In addition, supported the school system in working with children as well as community based, emergency mental health services. I worked with the elderly and severely mentally ill in assisted living facilities. I have worked in various out patient practices providing out patient therapy to individuals ranging in age from 12-90. Most recently, I've worked in an integrated health clinic in conjunction with a psychiatrist. In addition, I work with the local domestic violence shelter providing ongoing therapy for domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking survivors. I sit on the county's domestic violence board to identify services the county can offer as it relates to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
