About me
I provide compassionate, trauma-informed web-based counseling for clients leaving religion and other oppressive systems. Specializing in LGBTQ+ and marginalized communities.
My style is interpersonal and relational, but I am trained in EMDR, CBT and DBT, which I can weave in at a pace that feels right for my client and their path. My priority is helping you feel seen, understood and heard and then giving you tools to manage the depression, anxiety, or addiction - or all three - that are bringing you to therapy. All journeys are different, but I notice most clients begin to notice some relief after 1-2 sessions and real change after several. I offer flexible hours with weekend and evening availability.
I believe you are the expert on your life, your family, your community and, most importantly, your story. When people tell me who they are, how they feel and what they have experienced, I believe them. I cannot tell you how to feel, but I can help you safely manage your feelings. I will listen, support and come alongside you while we uncover your strengths and values and help you start living in alignment with your real purpose. My personal experience involves leaving religion during my 30s, (finally) being diagnosed with ADHD, embracing my own gender fluidity and uncovering my core values. My passion is helping others connect with their own values as well, and embracing the life they were meant to live.
