About me
Mental health counseling from a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Trauma-informed.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Questioning
Transgender and Nonbinary allied.
Autism and Neuroexpansive allied.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
I am queer. My pronouns are she/hers. I am also cisgender and white (among many other parts of who I am). It is important to understand how my identity and lived experience impacts my work with clients. I am passionate about working with people who may identify somewhere on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. I am committed to making my services affirming and safe for neurodivergent people.
I practice client-centered therapy as I believe you are the expert on your own needs. I am also trained in EMDR therapy which focuses on healing unresolved trauma and identifying adaptive responses to current stressors and future situations. EMDR can be profoundly helpful and I would love to explore the benefits further with you.
The mental health field is unfortunately very homogeneous. If I am not the right fit for you, let's work together to find referrals for someone who is. I want to be able to make this process as accessible as possible. I do not believe in gatekeeping professional knowledge. Please let me know if there are any questions I can answer!
