About me
I work from a collaborative, client centered, strengths-based approach; assisting and supporting clients to be in charge of their mental health.
Ivy believes that your story, pain, and compilation of struggles are unique to you. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy. I will spend time with you understanding what you are experiencing so that you can make enhancements that will help you enrich your life. I believe that everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life's challenges. The goal is to help you increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths to have a more profound life experience. Some of the approaches I use include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Approach and Motivational Interviewing. However, I understand that each client’s experience will be different, therefore treatment is customized to their individual needs. Counseling is a collaborative process where the client and counselor work together to identify issues and establish therapy goals to facilitate personal growth and healing. I can help you overcome tough areas such as:
Depression
Anxiety
Parenting struggles/challenges
Adolescent/ children's concerns
Anger issues
Relationship challenges
Career/vocational concerns
Communication issues
Life adjustment issues
Job related stress
Stress management
