About me
I use an eclectic approach to best meet the individual needs of each person that I work with. I am supportive as I create a safe environment for my clients to do their your healing work. I believe that by developing a collaborative and trusting relationship, together we can work to find hope and create the change you want to see. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you to reach your goals!
I started working in the mental health field in 2011 after receiving a bachelor of science in psychology from Oklahoma City University and a master of social work from California State University, Sacramento. Since then I have worked in both the public and private sectors in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings. I have worked with individuals, families, couples, children, and adolescents. I have received training in several evidence based practices including, motivational interviewing, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), parent child interaction therapy (PCIT), multisystemic therapy (MST), cognitive therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and heart-centered hypnotherapy. I believe that my clients benefit most when I uses an eclectic approach to best meet the individual needs of each person that I work with as therapy is not “one size fits all.” Each individual has unique experiences and challenges and equally requires his or her own unique approach to therapy. I am compassionate and nonjudgemental as I focus on each individual's strengths and empowers my clients as they move forward on their life journeys. I have advanced training and currently specialize in using cognitive therapy, EMDR, and heart-centered hypnotherapy with adults who have a history of trauma and various mental health related difficulties. I enjoy integrating these modalities to provide support to help heal the mind, body, and spirit.
