About me
I have a passion for supporting children, adolescents and adults as they explore the unique value and worth that they possess in their most vulnerable moments.
I am passionate about helping clients identify the messages and stories they tell themselves and learn to foster a more positive, reality-based, compassionate self-concept. I believe that a client’s presenting problem was once a solution that is no longer helpful that can be un-learned and replaced. Mindfulness, acceptance, gratitude, inner-child work, and meditation are just a few of the modalities Heidi uses to connect clients with their unique healing journey. I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based perspective with aspects of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), am a Reiki Master, and a Circle of Security parent educator. My own self-compassion practices include include hiking, spending time with family, friends and her two dogs, as well as through a connection with nature, spirituality, energy work, meditation and yoga.
