GLENDA RIVAS, LPC
Verified clinicians have had their licenses confirmed by our staff at the time they create their profile. We also require all verified therapists keep their licensing information up to date in order to maintain verified status.
This therapist holds one or more specialty certifications, you can review their certification within the professional certifications section on their profile.
Send your prospective therapist a brief message about why you’re seeking support, your preference for in-person or telehealth services, and how you’d like to be contacted moving forward. Note: Answers to many common questions can be found on the therapist’s profile page. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital.
I am a Bilingual Latina Therapist and Arizona Board-approved Clinical Supervisor, who is dedicated to helping others cope with anxiety, depression, trauma and BIPOC-related issues.
“Life has a way of testing a person’s will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen at once.” – Paulo Coehlo
Do you find yourself struggling to cope with life’s challenges or emotional wounds?
I can support you to navigate these experiences to provide a path forward.
I am a first-generation American of Mexican-immigrant parents. My parents instilled the importance of acts of Service to those in more dire need- and the values of work, sacrifice and continuous learning. My parents and my childhood experiences continue to influence my work, as I have deep compassion for those who are struggling or marginalized; yet driven to live their best life. I have over 17 years experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults in multiple settings such as: forensic/crisis based, outpatient, inpatient/residential treatment, home/school-based therapy and tele-therapy. As a bilingual Latina therapist, I take pride in being able to serve the BIPOC and Latinx community and provide counseling services in Spanish if needed.
I strive to use a comprehensive and individualized Solution-Focused approach, integrating other various therapy modalities.
From a Trauma-Informed and Cultural Humility approach, I am dedicated in creating a safer space that leads to healing and growth for everyone; this including BIPOC and LGTBQA+ communities. I hold training in the Racial Trauma Treatment CBT Protocol, and am certified in: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as a Mindfulness Informed Professional, and as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner; which helps those struggling to heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression. Aligning with a Person-Centered perspective, I believe you are the expert in your experience and I try to promote a therapeutic partnership in which we work together to reach your goals.
If you’re interested in working together and find that I could be of help, please call or email me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
I look forward to supporting you!
