About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate with experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, finding purpose, prioritizing self-care, and reaching their goals.
I work with individuals to develop customized therapeutic sessions which are based on their mental wellness goals. I incorporate therapeutic approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Radical Acceptance-Dialectical Behavior Therapy with my clients to help them experience the peace and tranquility that comes from being present in their daily lives. Often time depression comes from living in the past while anxiety comes from trying to live in the future. But when we spend our time living in the “here and now” we are in control and this tends to bring peace of mind, acceptance of ourselves, joy, and over fulfillment.
As a counselor, it is important for me to use an integrated therapeutic approach that consists of evidence-based counseling techniques. These are based on the cognitive-behavioral approach which is aimed at changing underlying thoughts and beliefs that cause emotional and behavioral disturbances. Additionally, MBCT and mindfulness meditative practices are used in collaboration with present-oriented, non-judgmental cognitive behavioral therapy.
I look forward to working with you.
