I have been providing full-time pastoral psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, couples and teens since 1988.
Dr. Gary L. Hulme, D.Min is a inclusive ordained United Methodist minister and a long time resident of Manassas, VA. Gary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy from Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk Virginia, as well as a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. He is also a graduate of the Institute for Pastoral Psychotherapy. In addition to having been certified as a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, following the AAPC merger with ACPE, Gary is a Certified Psychotherapy Member of the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Gary is also a Board Certified Professional Counselor by the American Board of Professional Counselors established by the American Psychotherapy Association and a member of the International Positive Psychology Association. He is also a provider with Tricare for military dependents and families. Further, he is a Community Care Provider with the Veterans Administration and is able to work with military veterans closer to their local community. He likes to work with a variety of persons and provides individual counseling and psychotherapy, marriage counseling, couples counseling, family counseling and adolescent counseling. In addition to anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, grief, and other mental health issues, Gary likes to work with persons around how family of origin issues impact current life systems in a way that moves toward healing, wholeness and health.
